So I haven’t listened yet, but I will tell you that Noah was so appauled by the topless maid bouncing in the first episode that he did not watch any more of Gunbuster 2.
I was hoping it to get more yuri, so I kept watching, and it got better (although not more yuri) – and by the time you send someone to Pluto, you’ve hooked me. Basically.

I address Noah’s complaint in the audio, but I definitely sympathize, and it took a friend’s protestations of non-suckiness to keep me interested, as I’d given up after two eps.
The first couple of episodes are horrible, but as I’ve given up trying to guess what it is that Noah likes, I won’t even bother saying it’s worth watching further, although you and I know the truth—we happy few!
I didn’t get a lot more yuri, but the subtext is there. Between that and watching Kamikazi Girls I was so happy to get some media where the homoerotic subtext isn’t between dudes, for once.
